Organic strawberry farming creates happy nature while the plastic and chemical method shown here creates imbalance and ill soil.
Soil is a living being - billions of micro organisms create the fertile soil and environment needed for a strong natural farming. Plastic destroys balance and kills nature's power to heal and produce healthy vitamin rich food.
Soil needs sunshine, soil needs to "breath" fresh air, all micro organisms need a natural environment to protect strawberry and other plants, flowers and vegetables.
In addition if the plastic once is torn and used up a huge quantity of plastic waste is created while the previous photo shows a natural way. The straw used in the organic farming turns into organic fertilizer for the strawberry fields.
When comparing organic farming vs chemical farming there is more than just the short time harvest to take into account.
Chemical farming kills nature
Chemical farming kills our all health
Hence even if we increase the short time harvest, the long time cost calculation always must include the health and medical expenses resulting in all farmers and field workers after a few year or full life time of chemical farming. Living amidst herbicide and pesticide infested fields and breathing or even eating part of the chemicals always leads to later health problems - even cancer and other painful illness.
However from the financial point of view, Wallstreet always wins. The same companies producing all herbicide, fungicide and pesticide also produce the chemicals to treat your later illness and intoxications resulting from your farm work amidst highly toxic chemicals. First they help you to get sick then they help you to treat your sickness and both times the chemical industry wins. And both times you pay! Finally with your life and health.
Hence organic farming is far more than natural farming, organic farming also is a health care and thus an illness prevention. Health CARE always is cheaper and easier than illness treatment!
